Although the average person would say that both 7 degrees AND 14 degrees are very cold, the truth is that 14 degrees IS twice as warm as 7 degrees. (If you thought about it differently, think: 100 degrees is nice and warm, and twice as warm as 50 degrees which is chilly.)

No, because 7 degrees fahrenheit is -14 C and 14 degrees fahrenheit is -10 C.

Depends: do you mean how it feels, or how much heat energy is present? Are your degrees Fahrenheit (scale used by one country), Celsius (used for weather measurements most places), Kelvin or Rankine (in which case, 14 is twice as warm from an energy viewpoint).
