Wind chill, temp, snow accumalation? what makes buffalo public schools give a snow day?

I live outside of Buffalo in the Southern Tier and all our schools are closed for tomorrow...Arent yours yet?

I'm not quite sure. As for where I live....we usually need maybe 10 inches. Two months ago we closed school when we got 12in. It really depends on how quickly the streets can be cleared (so hope they're slow!)
and the last time they closed schools where I live was in 1997 when it was 10 below zero (f).
If the wind chills are at a dangerous level then school might also be closed.

Why don't you call the office of the superintendent and ask ?
