Here in New Jersey, its been raining for about 4 days straight and when you walk out the door, its like walking into a warm pool of water. I think our climate's switched with Costa Rica or something.

I'm just curious to know if other countries are experiencing e.g. more/less rain, severe storms, etc. than usual. E.g., by the middle of June, Nova Scotia, Canada, had more than 1/2 its normal rainfall with more heavy rain expected at that time. Anyone else with similar stories?

Why doesn't water boil first? I know for a fact that steam is hotter. But you always see steam several minutes before the water boils. Why?

Lets just say that the earth reaches the point where the artic icecap melts and the sea level rises 20 feet (and it will within 50 years if we don't control our greenhouse gas emissions--see movie An Inconvenient Truth). What happens from there? Will the earth turn into a Venus-like planet that will heat up uncontrollably?
