Sunshower is an expression which refers to "rain while the sun shines" in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and also in parts of Britain. Surprisingly the word appears only in a few dictionaries. This word exists in many languages. A great many of them have animal associations, often to do with marriage (or, that activity for which the word marriage may be considered a suitable euphemism).

I'm not 100% on this, but I could imagine a saturated, wamr mass of air moving upwards into a very cold mass of air. If the warm air cooled quickly enough, the water would condense and fall as rain before a cloud could form.
Note that typicly, coulds form when warm, moist air rises and cools by expansion (adiabatic cooling), not by intereaction with another mass of air.

If you are asking what causes the effect of the Sun shining as it rains, It is small isolated rain showers with the sun at a low enough angle to shine underneath the cloud cover.
