Depends on how well the place you were staying in was constructed.

I was in a well-built house in Homestead during Andrew and my family toughed it out with not too much damage. In today's houses, I would get my things and run since they are built as well as Lego houses. I take that back ... Lego could probably build better houses than most construction companies today.

Also, watch the path of the hurricane. I have been through a few of them and found that paths can change very quickly.

i would really first see how big of a hurricane it is. if it doesnt do too much damage then i would stay were i am and try to protect my self but if it is a pretty big hurricane with very strong winds that can do alot of damage, i would leave the place and go away somewhere i know i can be safe. i guess i would do the same thing the people that were in katrina did. they left their homes.

I'd probably get all my **** together if i had time, get my family and tell them "let's go out of town for a few days" and head the opposite direction.....good question though I've never been in a situation like that.....I'de be scared!!! But I would also pray.....never hurts to give a few words to the lord when you don't know what else to do.

Be very prepared and run away to a town not affected by the warnings. I'd run so fast i'd not let the hurricane catch me.

Nothing, since if a hurricane did make it to where I live, it would probably be only a category 1.

That's impossible for me, I live too far from the ocean. But if I lived in a hurricane-prone area, I'd pack up and leave.

Last year when Wilma hit I stayed and did woohoo on the peir... before that one I always left. The no electricity sucks (canned food, cold showers, and no gas), but the fun on the peir is a memory I will never forget! (But next time I'm out)

Make sure i had all my supplies and hide in my house like i did for Charley, Gene, and Frances and hope nothing falls on my house. Also hope my power comes on faster than it did the last time.

Drive away as fast as possible with as much stuff as I can take! Breaking all the speed limits on the way!
