One of my friends went to a resturant and was told about a type of glass (like a round lens-like glass) when you keep it under a glass of water it will somehow change the taste of the water inside the glass. The inventor of this glass got a nobel prize for it. I would like to know if this type of glass truly exists. My friend bought it from the restaurant for $600 but didnt get it because it has to be ordered from US.

First, I'm not asking if it's a moral disorder. I'm asking if it's a mental disorder.

Second, I'm not being disrespectful. Just because I'm giving ideas that contradicted your candy-quoted ideas doesn't mean that I'm being disrespectful. I'm ASKING, moron. And yes, I'm being disrespectful now.

Third, this is in no way an attempt to further discriminate against homosexuals. I mean, so what if homosexuality turns out to be a disorder? Do we attempt to rehabilitate homosexuals? No, because if it's not harmful, we don't fix it.

Fourth, if you're gonna pull out the "Is being left-handed a disease?" analogy, think about this: If the world was filled with left-handed people, there wouldn't be any significant effects. (If any) But if the world was filled with homosexuals, wouldn't we have reproduction problems, since all of us are attracted to the same sex?

I have thought of this many times and it makes me feel so happy to exist. This is not a religious question. Think of the probability of you. Where do you begin, would you be the same if you came from a different egg, sperm, or combo of the two? I guess we are products of probability and variablility. Obviously you may look different due to genetic variability, but does a different sperm= a diffferent conciousness. I believe that it probably does. READ THIS BEFORE REPLYING: If you flip a quarter and it lands on tails, is it simple probability, or did some supernatural and "invisible" force will it to do so since the beginning of time? Hint: USE LOGIC.

accurate? For example they know have these digital scales out know that they say are more accurate, (I kinda like those ones -they weigh me less) but how do they know what is really accurate?

A few years ago, a town in my state set a record for cold. Then later, the powers that be, said the thermometer wasn't accurate. How do they know what is accurate? I mean where is it written?

My daughter did this for her science experiment but I can't find any supporting information to put on her board. Is this sort of thing used in everyday life?. Maybe a website link?

This isn't really a question. I already know the answer. This is just to test your knowledge. I'll give the 'Best Answer' rating to the person who gives me the correct answer. (The answer must come with a reason)
