One of my friends went to a resturant and was told about a type of glass (like a round lens-like glass) when you keep it under a glass of water it will somehow change the taste of the water inside the glass. The inventor of this glass got a nobel prize for it. I would like to know if this type of glass truly exists. My friend bought it from the restaurant for $600 but didnt get it because it has to be ordered from US.

To the best of my knowledge, no Nobel prize was given for any such invention and it looks to be a confidence trickster's work. You ca, if you are interested do an online search for Nobel prizes in science from the time of the insttitution to 2006.
