We have a dual-core Pentium processor which
is replacing the old one. But, the development will not
be faster that way, because they still use electron
currents. We all know that light travels faster than
electron current. When they use laser flows instead of
electron flow using Raman Effect discovered by Sir
C.V.Raman, Nobel Laureate, the next big revolution in
making computers will take place. Some researchers in
U.S.A. are already working in this line.

The next drawback in a computer is that the Numeric
Co-Processor in the C.P.U. works according to
arithmetic logic. We know that the result of
multiplying an eight digit number with another eight
digit number cannot be obtained in one step.

I am doing a science project on wether or not blind people can actually hear better, or just depend on their sence of hearing more so they pay more attention to sound, therefore giving the illusion that they can hear better. Does anyone know?

The National Association of Evangelicals yesterday stuck to its guns in taking up such causes as addressing global warming and stopping torture by the United States.

Forgetting global warming for a second, just the idea that living up to the Biblical responsibility for stewardship of the earth is an issue at all, is fantastic!

As for the global warming, isn't that the way it is supposed to work? Science should be trusted with what it does well ... giving us information, but it cannot mandate what to *do* with that information. That takes will ... and isn't will where *faith* is supposed to be relevant? Morality is about *personal action* ... not about telling *other* people how to act ... and certainly not about dictating to science what results it must arrive at in order to make the moral choices easier.

Would you agree?

Everytime I walk down the stairs into the basement, I get chills, I can hear footsteps and one time I heard a voice telling me to 'get out before i stick you'. I think it could be a ghost of an old man, maybe he has a cane, thats what he means by 'stick you'.

What do you think, does it sound like a ghost?

This is the often quoted experiment whereby you put identical amounts of hot and cold water in a freezer and the hot one apparently freezes first.

I suspectected this was pseudo science and that the myth was perpetuated because nobody can actually be bothered to do it.
I did. I have too much time on my hands.

I want to know if you did it, how you set up your experiment, contol, etc.

I want to know your results. I want to compare with mine. I actually want people to test this and find out once and for all if this is a pile of sweaty blue pants or divine wisdom. Obviously, I can't tell you what result I got. I want to know what you got and how you did it. Maybe then someone can work it out scientifically rather than in a pub after 4 pints of Stella.

I am just curious about an anology, so I want to know what the functions of moths are, not what they look like. What is their "job here on earth" and what makes them different than butterflies, as if you were going to refer to an anology, when would you use "moth" and when would you use "butterfly". thanks so much. My wings are singed.
