Depending on your views, this question is either obvious or completely unanswerable.

If you are a religious person (I am not), then you simply believe there is a god or other higher power, and there is no way anyone can prove you wrong (or that you can prove yourself right).

If you are not a religious person you likely believe there is not a god because you haven't seen proof. Of course, since it is also impossible to prove there isn't a god, there is no way for this argument to end - that is, the statement "There is no god" is not falsifiable, as you can never prove there isn't even though there has never been proof there is.

Note: I understand many people have strong religious beleifs, including that many religious texts are the word(s) of some god or other higher power. I am not trying to disparage your beliefs in any way, but to simply state that from a logical point of view, this question is truly not answerable.

First the concept of Godhood itself could be much conflicting among those believing in such a Power... Because such a great Power could welll be much complex Being, the probabilities are that each religious view may have explained a part of that big Whole - to the extent their Prophets had felt it expedient to explain to them... Or the further probabilities are that much distortions had crept in over the centuries since the ideas were explained.. and the present versions are so much corrupted as to make the theories near lies... It could be any of these and more or none of these too..! That is the one reason for the sceptics to disown all these versions altogether... OK.

What makes the concept of Godhood complex in the first place? Because it is the complexity of a probable Power that could exist which could be considered to have created all these innumerable things around the universe that baffles the true seeker... Whatever we could not logically believe with the wisdom and experience gained from this world, appear naturally improbable, nay, impossible...

But the several features of the world also challenges the veracity of our confidence in our senses and wisdom... (reasoning)... Consider, a man in the tropic shivering in the tropical winter of just 20 degree celcius and covering his body with thick wool... he could not believe that man can exist in temperatures below zero degrees... while people do live in such climate in the Planet elsewhere..!

The emerging view of scientists (Physicists) tends to narrow to the highly probable existence of an "intelligent consciousness" that should have caused the cosmic evolution and the cycle of creations and destructions.

I quote passages from the article of an eminent scientist:
":I venture to put forward a hypothesis, based on my current understanding of the bridge between physics and meta-physics. The last few decades have seen staggering progress in the last frontier of physics namely, the bridge between the micro and macrocosm...

“If the Universe had a beginning, and we do believe that our Universe was born about 13. 7 billion years ago, then where did it come from? Where did the initial deposit of energy for this Universe come from?” ...

That our universe could have had a “mother” is something many Cosmologists now freely accept....

Freeman Dyson, a brilliant physicist who provided so much insight into quantum electrodynamics in the early days, went so far as to write a serious paper in the prestigious journal Reviews of Modern Physics, on life without flesh and blood. Dyson speculated that even if the planet earth became inhospitable to life as we know it, life could serve in a primordial form in the Universe as cloud of Consciousness. These profound investigations were carried out by Dyson when he was holding the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship...

I stop here, as the subject is big and complex for commoners like us to assimilate... but the fact remains that the hitherto raging controversy on the existence of a Super Consciousness (call it God or Holy Ghost or Para Brahma or whatever) is reducing to a level of rich possibility of its existence in the scientific circles...

Before closing I have to say that the author of the article cited was Prof. G.VENKATARAMAN, a Fellow of the Indian Physics Community, including the Indian Academy of Sciences and the Indian National Academy. He had worked with passionate commitment to values in Bhaba Atomic Reseatch Commission, Atomic Power Plant in Kalpakkam (Tamilnadu) etc...

So a Super Intelligence Force or Consciouness does exist in all probability and more solid informations on this may be made availble to the common man in the years to come, when the investigators further narrow down on the details of its function etc..

Good luck.

Yes, you may not be able to see him but he is there watching over everyone. For the full story and everything find a bible. The best ones are the NIV (new international version) I have a NIV TrueImages teen girl Bible, there are tons of different types.

You just have to believe.

GOD is - Generator + Operator + Destroyer.
God is there if you believe in god.
God will be there even if you do not believe, the difference is that
one who is atheist is Ignorant of god.
One can realize God through deep meditation.
And doing deep meditation sincerely to realize God is the toughest task in the world.

It is possible. But then some could argue that they believe wholly in science and therefor to them science is "God." and others say they don't believe in anything at all. I myself believe that there is some form of a creator, just not sure if it is "God" or science, or whoever/whatever.
