Line-
-a formation of people or things one beside another;
-The lines used to divide and vary fields and charges in heraldry are by default straight, but may have many different shapes.
-In electrical engineering, a line is, more generally, any circuit (or loop) of an electrical system. This electric circuit loop (or electrical network), consists of electrical elements (or components) connected directly by conductor terminals to other devices in series.
-A line, or straight line, is, roughly speaking, an (infinitely) thin, (infinitely) long, straight geometrical object, i.e. a curve that is long and straight. Given two points, in Euclidean geometry, one can always find exactly one line that passes through the two points; the line provides the shortest connection between the points. Three or more points that lie on the same line are called collinear. ...
Point-
-a geometric element that has position but no extension; "a point is defined by its coordinates"
-the precise location of something.
-A spatial point is an entity with a location in space but no extent (volume, area or length). In geometry, a point therefore captures the notion of location; no further information is captured. Points are used in the basic language of geometry, physics, vector graphics (both 2d and 3d), and many other fields. In mathematics generally, any form of space is considered as made up of points as basic elements.
-A unit of measurement used to describe the weight of diamonds. One point is equivalent to one-hundredth of a carat.
-A point of the compass. There are four cardinal points (North, South, East, West), and 28 others yielding 32 points of 11.25 degrees each. A survey line's direction could be described as a compass point, as in "NNE" (north northeast). To improve precision, the points would be further subdivided into halves or quarters as necessary, for example, "NE by North, one quarter point North". In some areas, "and by" meant one half point, as in "NE and by North".
-A point is the smallest unit of scoring in tennis.
-The metal portion of a fountain pen that fits against the feed and conducts ink down a split to the nib. The most desirable points are of solid gold (either 14k or 18k), although points have been made from other precious metals such as titanium and platinum. Steel points are functionally identical but esthetically less acceptable to some, and typically of less value to the collector.
...all the best.

geometrically speaking, a point is a position in a given space... it has no size or dimension, just a position... it's usually represented as a dot
whereas a line is a series of infintely many points extending in both directions... it has no end...
so in short, a point, or rather, an infinite number of it, is what constitutes a line but not the other way around

A Line is made by joining 2 points, whereas a point could be any where on the plane,i.e., it is just a dot.

one more variable. math doesnt care about space really, its just how many DIFFERENT numbers to u need to single out a single element from the set. a point needs none, a line 1, a plane, 2, etc.
