I have gotten prescriptions for antidepressants and ADHD meds in the past from GPs, but I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, if you have already been diagnosed with a mental disorder by a qualified professional, it's handy to be able to get a prescription from a GP you already know and trust. However, I can't help but think that GPs usually specialize in physical ailments rather than psychological ones, so I wonder how often GPs prescribe the wrong psychiatric medication to their patients.

I have donated blood by transfusion approx 5 times, for getting
a cup of orange juice for it, but when my father has got hemorrhoidal cancer, from the radiations his blood faded out pink, and he died without they giving him a drop of blood by
transfusion.
How would you take that?

I am from out of Europe and the western countries. I live in Iraq and some people I know told me to ask how can we propose a medical finding to the a serious health center in USA or other countries around because they have made an important discovery and may eventually work. The health center in our country don't believe them but they have tried the medicine on two people and it worked. I am asking how can I connect or contact a serious health or medical center in any region of USA or a known and high-ranked university which does medical researches so that they may be interested in this new discovery. It's something about AIDS... Thank you all.

My symptom was only very high fever with shiverings for months.... When the fever stopped by the use of autoimmunity medicins (1 anakindra injections per day and 2 methotrexate pills per week) I then developed red spots in the hands and legs, with swallen ankles and wrists. I then passed to corticoids for 7 months now, which prescription I shall continue for.. another 6 months . I made all tests for lupus sarcoid, rheumatoid arthritis , Sjogren test, e.t.c with no result. The doctors cannot identify my decease. Meantime I already have Hasimoto decease and take levothyroxine every day.
Any idea what kind of desease is the one causing the fever ?

Not me! I was just curious because one of my husbands friends has married his first cousin (which isn't uncommon in Egypt) and they plan to have children. I was explaining to him that their kids will have alot of recessive genes and could have alot of complications. I would love an experts answer on this about how the genetics work.
Thanks
