Montenegro skin test ( or Leishman skin test) is to test Leishmaniasis. An intradermal injection of a suspension of killed promastigotes (leishmania flagellate) measures delayed type hypersensitivity reactions ranging from few days to months.A positive wheal formation indicates an infection.
