If you know you have a terminal illness where your body doesn't function but your mind does, would you want to be put out of your misery? Or, would you want to linger and suffer?
After all you wouldn't let an animal suffer would you?

I was recently told by two people that during World War 2 in dire times of need Tawain coconut milk was used to give for blood transfusions. Has anyone heard this before, and if so is there any documentation you can find on it? I've searched everywhere. Thanks for any help!

I am always tired and think I may have this. I do not have a doctor appointment till dec 17 and was wondering if until then it would be safe to just eat a pill that is normally given to someone with b12 deficiency. Also is it safe to do the same thing for iron deficiency and how much of that is perscribed to patients?

I currently have the flu with mild pneumonia and the doctor put me on Tamiflu (an anti-flu agent), Zithromax (an antibiotic), and Histinex (a decongestant/antihistamine/narcotic cough suppressant syrup). Ever since I started on this regimen, I have bad bronchospasms (with spasmodic coughing to the point of hiccups). This has never happened to me before, and does not feel related to my illness. I've ruled out Zithromax because I've taken it before with no problems. But it seems as soon as I take the Tamiflu, here come the bad bronchospasms. The cough syrup does not help with the coughing and, in fact, makes the bronchospasms worse, if anything. I remember the doctor had asked me if I had asthma (which I don't have a history of at all). Does this sound like a reaction to my medication?

Additional details:
1. I got flu shot on Oct. 23.
2. Later in a.m., I will be speaking w/my pharmacist (over 30 yrs' experience)

because I keep seeing it for sale in pumps and such--how are they doing this, like take this Estrogel, it.s 0.6% which means .6g/100ml which = 6mg/ml
Premarin was .625mg of estrogens, so in 1/10th of a ml (a few drops) you'd get the same dose, and that dose of .625 was considered DANGEROUS in the Women's Health Initiative, and most sprayers are going to overdose that amount, and they're not quantitative.
Sorry but I'm very confused how these bioidentical hormones which are identical to premarin, can be sold in pumps, they're absorbed through the skin, so they're still dosed.
Can someone in the know explain this? Thanks

I want to prepare a turkey using the Good Eats Turkey recipe (Alton Brown/Food Network), which starts with brining the turkey in a salt solution (plus other stuff). However, I'm taking an Rx for high blood pressure. With the Rx, my blood pressure is now normal. I exercise and try to eat a balanced diet. Does the turkey absorb so much salt that it'd be unsafe for me to eat? I haven't been instructed to stick to a low sodium diet.

I've always believed this. I tell lots of people, and I know they tell people. And well I think its about time i figure out if its true or not. I mean I just always assumed because when you swish a pill around in your mouth with soda it fizzes more.. and that is a way for the pill to dissolve. But Im trying to get to the bottom of this so if there are any doctors, help me out here! haha thanks
