I have to disagree with the Happy Nurse and agree more with Dogmatic. Vicodin is acetaminophen (Tylenol) and hydrocodone, an opiate narcotic like codeine. It's the hydrocodone of course that you have to worry about with a drug test of the urine. If you did not take much, and if you drink plenty of fluids, it should be metabolized and cleared in the urine by 72 hours.

Vicodin stays in your body for anywhere between a few hours to a few days depending on the dosage, how regularly you use it etc. Try drinking plenty of water to help flush your system.

Vicodin does not stay in your body for a few hours. It's a narcotic which means it will be there for 72 hours.

Well if the vicondin was legally prescribed to you, then no worries, you need to inform the physician that you are in fact taking prescribed meds at the time of the test.
