I am having an MRI done with dye injected into my hip tomorrow morning. The hospital I am going to isn't being very helpful on telling what to do to prepare. I have heard mixed things about what you can and can not do. Like... No eyeshadow because of metallic parts? Some people have said you can't eat. Basically I am just wondering what the basics are. Can I wear bronzer, powder, stuff like that? I only ask about makeup cause I have to go to work right after. What about the nail polish I have on, do I need to take it off? Oh, and they said this is going to hurt cause the dye is going straight into my joint so I wanted to know if it is ok to take my prescribtion pain killer tramadol and also some advil.

Thanks!

Hello

I have a few questions for anyone who has had bi-pass open heart surgery. My father 53 years old had a 5 way bypass October 19th he has came home and is sleeping in a hospital bed. Even though he is out of the hospital he is still not able to sleep very well he is taking about 7-10 different meds at one time and has even been taking half of a sleeping pill and was told to take a tylonal pm this has not helped and making him fill weaker. Did anyone have any of the same problems i like to say to him he's not alone on this problem may make him fill a little better. Also if anyone knows of anyway to find support groups for him that be great to and any other encouraging advice you might give for them would be most helpful!

Thank you!

I was wondering if drinking caffeinated befferages on the day of a blood pressure test will have any affect. It's not a serious test, but I've heard of caffeine raising blood pressure over time and I'm not sure if drinking it will have any immediate affect on the results. Any help?

I can't sleep at night ( I take it in the A.M.), I've put on 15 lbs. because of constant food cravings, and I get dizzy and have constant dry mouth. Plus, I have NO sex drive which is frustrating to both me and my bf. I do, however, feel much less depressed. I'm only on 20 mg. I've been on it for five weeks now. Is it possible these side effects will go away?
