Hot Lights, Cold Steel!

That's what one of my OB colleagues used to say it was time for a C-section.

Cut-Ups
Suture Self
Living South of the Blood-Brain Barrier (anesthesia is to the north, that is, not on the "blood" side!)
On the Bleeding Edge

As usual, WWD gets there before I do. How about "The Blood-Brain Barrier"?

A slogan for internal medicine residents making rounds would more properly be, "Shifting Dullness."

For pediatricians, "Stool Gazers."
For pediatric nurses, "Dart Throwers."
For proctologists, "Rear Admirals."

And on and on.

"Medicine's cutting edge" might gather too many groans.
You might consider an old standby like "When in doubt, cut it out."
