I know increase in count means that there is damage. What does a decrease in count imply?

Normally CPK is at low levels in blood.However lowered levels may also reflect decreased muscle mass. It is also associated with few conditions which includes metastatic neoplasia, alcoholic liver disease, rheumatoid arthritis,and connective tissue diseases.

Those on steroid therapy may also a decreased CPK. There is also a decrease in level during pregnancy. It is also said that overnight bedrest may also lower CPK level by 10% to 20%.

CPK levels have something to do with cardiac or the heart. Ask a doctor. It could mean a number of things.
