My doctor refused to do an iron test because he said my hemoglobin was fine, (he also missed a later confirmed case of multiple sclerosis which an mri caught after i complained so much) so i really wonder if he knows what he's talking about.

Has anyone seen the movie Prozac Nation? Why are we so depressed this day and age that so many people including teens on anti-depressants. Also, all you hear about in kids now is ADD, and taking meds for this. I'm in my early 40's and it seems like things go in waves, when my kids were babies, which they were lucky not to have this, they were putting in tubes in ears...is this all just a money making thing, or is the world's environment changing so fast, that we are getting chemically induced somewhere that makes us/people have to take this medicine. Any views on this

Just imagine that as soon as a baby is born, maybe even while the baby is developing in the womb, doctors take all of the blood and bone marrow out and replace it with a superior substitute - like a serum the generates oxygen all on it's own. Do you think that it would be the first stepping stone towards immortality?

I've had a miserable sinus headache, and took some Tylenol Sinus with 10mg of phenylephrine. Since phenylephrine is never effective for me, is it okay if I also take 60mg pseudoephedrine, or is there some kind of bad drug interaction?

I'm an author. I have a character who is being held hostage in a garage. It's winter in Merced California so it could get down to freezing but more likely will be low 40's at night to mid 50's in the daytime. He is restrained in a chair so can't move around. Need an idea how long before his core temp would drop below 95 degrees. Might there be an equation for figuring this. Where might I look for an answer?

there are some companies that claim they can do some tests to find out what you should eat and how you should lead your life in order to stay healthy...but then again whatever these companies claim isn't true half of the time? do you think all these biotech companies are running all the tests for the sake of a lucrative bussiness and money making scheme? what about those people who aren't that well informed on these nutrigenetics that they actually just go and get the tests done though they know nothing about it?
