there are some companies that claim they can do some tests to find out what you should eat and how you should lead your life in order to stay healthy...but then again whatever these companies claim isn't true half of the time? do you think all these biotech companies are running all the tests for the sake of a lucrative bussiness and money making scheme? what about those people who aren't that well informed on these nutrigenetics that they actually just go and get the tests done though they know nothing about it?

I think that the last thing you said is the most applicable to nutrigenetics -- i.e. it preys on people's general lack of knowledge. My wife was interested in it and had a free trial done -- what she showed me as "results" were very generalized and could essentially apply to anyone. Their success is based largely upon the individual's willingness to accept the results, and a lack of informed skepticism. The predictions and recommendations they claim are really generic and seem like they give the person a false sense of security more than anything else.

There should be a law against them, and eventually a class action suit will be filed just as for the Sharp air purifier.
