I'm writing a story! A plot point hinges on coming up with a credible way to destroy these alien structures. The protagonist is a structual engineer. So, the solution should use his background. I don't know what the pipes are made of. If it helps the plot, I could make them out of earth or a synthetic plastic or some strong metal or something not yet invented! Can anyone think of a cool but credible way of destroying these structures? If it helps, the pipes need to be big, but I could scale them up or down if it lent to a more spectacular scenario. Again, I need something based on science. e.g. "The weakest point in the tube would be half way between, blah, blah, blah. So if you had some theoretical explosive device, you could melt....."

I just blew some wind at a hand held DC fan to see what electricity could be generated by running the DC fan in reverse by blowing wind at it. I surprised myself with a reading of 0.25 Volts and 30 mA, generating power of approximately 0.01 Watts. (rounded up)

Does anyone know if this is indiciative of the level of power I could expect if I tried this experiment on a 12V DC car fan?

Just a guess please....

I have connected a 3 mt. Earthing Electrode to the Neutral of the distribution transformer of my factory. But I saw to my shock that already a current of 10 Amp. is already continuously flowing from the neutral toward the earth electrode !!! There is an old earthing also, and there the current is 28 Amps !!!
What is happening here ? Normally there is no such current flow into the earth electrode from the neutral I suppose. So is the neutral faulty ? Where is the fault ? Is the transformer faulty ? Or is there some other problem ? How to eliminate this current ? ( Otherwise only "fault" current arising from short circuit or lightning etc is supposed to flow into the earth pit.)
Can someone tell me what's the problem and how to rectify it ?
