I'm basically building a protective shield for an egg by usiing only toothpick and elmer's glue. Any Ideas on how to start or what to do?

Ugh i hated doing those experiments in physics class. How many toothpicks can you use? Obviously you want to build a structure around the egg that will crush before the egg while holding it firmly in place.

I would do the glue coating thing but add the toothpick's wooden fibers for greater strength

Coat egg with glue, allow to dry. Repeat. Don't stop until you have at least a quarter inch of glue shell on the eggshell.

Use toothpick to poke anyone who tries to mess with egg while it is drying.
