WHICH PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE IS USED TO PROGRAM ROBOT?

There are many classifications for robots. Each has a preferred language.
I know about hobby robotics. That is table top or indoor roving projects built by hobbyists. The most common language is some version of basic, PIC-Basic, P-Basic (parallax), or C (for Atmel or Motorola chips).
Most robots in the world today are industrial maunfacturing robots. Perhaps someone can better answer programming in that field.
Carnegie Mellon Univ is 'THE' robotics college. They focus heavy on C and C++.

There is a language called micro-C that is used quite often for a variety of micro processors that can be used to controll robotic applications.

However straight up C programming can be used too. The language is really just formating for the instructions to the micro processor. You could probably use a variety of languages.
