I'm making a wind turbine that lights up an LED light for a science project. The instructions call for 28 gage enameled magnet wire but I can't find any 28 gage, just 26 & 30. I don't have time to order any but we find the 26 & 30 gage at radio shack. You experienced electritians, could you look at the project in the link and tell me if I can use 26 or 30 gage?

Hi I am curious about an output of my DC power supply output.
It has three connecions: positive, common, and negative.

I use only the positive and negative terminal, but I am wondering what the common terminal is for ? Can anyone give practical example in use?

Does it technically like centre tap (ct) in transformer, but this is in DC?

Thank you!

Where do you take temperature measurement on a dry type air cooled transformer. From the core or on the windings. If I touch the windings the temperature feel normal, however the steelcore is very hot. Apart from harmonics and overload, what other reasons can lead to transformers overheating.

People think I'm nuts, or am dealing with indefinate energy, but the truth is it works. It can heat or cool from electricity, or produce electricity from heat or cold. No moving parts. Just my little black box.
Imagine this unit in a larger size. Not only could it produce heating or cooling, but could produce the power necessary to operate other electrical devices in your home or business.

NASA won't talk to me. They act like I'm an idiot! You could hang one of these out the window (laugh) and get enough power to supply a device in space instead of all those solar panels or atomic engines.

I have written to congress people asking for support. Guess what? No responses!

I have over 40 years as an Electrical Design Engineer, and have created other things that you may well use today. Now, I've got the future of power in my hands, and nobody wants to listen, or even think of the possibilities.

So, my fellow Y!A's what do you think?

I am doing a project for school on other ways of transport than cars that use gas and oil. I once read in a book that was set in the future that they used magnetic levation to power hover cars.
do you think this concept could work in real life. If we had a metal grid under all roads, and had a negative magnet under every car, then the cars could float. But how could they move forward and back? do you think it is a good idea or should i choose another topic?
