I need good ideas from people that know technology !!!

I just started a Voluntary Organization with a goal to Engineer, Build & Provide Assistance Devices to Seniors that will allow them to stay in their Current Homes for an additional 10 to 20 years.

What are your ideas ? It doesn't even have to be highly technical, sometimes the simple ideas are the best.

Maybe you have an elderly family member or friend and have something that you think would help them.

Even if it is ROBOTIC or a fantasy type item that can not be made yet... any idea will help move us forward to making them into real items to help older people.

You can see some of the ideas on the website :

Thank you for your Answers.

Hi all, I need to solder a dc connection on my laptop. I bought a soldering gun from wally worl and it comes with solder but no flux. I didn't see and flux there also. Do I need it for this job? Also someone suggested to epoxy over this joint to help solidify it from future breakage. Thanks JM

When performing quality inspection of recycled paper one phenomena of concern is the appearance of macroscopic undulations on the paper sheet surface that may emerge early after its production. The bumpy appearance . I have a interest in explore the detection and measurement of this phenomenon by means of computer vision and statistical pattern recognition techniques, because they may allow early detection at the production site. I need references about this phenomenon, since I have not found anything in the bibliography and I do not have experience in the area of the paper but in the analysis of images. Somebody knows how is called to this fenémoeno and if it is documented?
