I know that mitochondria were discovered by A. Kolliker, but since my googling skills are absolutely terrible, i can't find his first name or anything about how, when and where he discovered them (don't ask why I care; i need it for a project.) I'm really desperate now, and can't find anything. If anyone knows anything and can direct me to a web source that I could cite, that would be great.

If homosexuality were caused by a gene, wouldn't one expect bisexuality to be as common as two different colored eyes? I realize I must be missing something, or the whole world would have realized this.

Or from multiple individuals of this new species born at the same time, or from multiple individuals of different newly evovled kinds that still share a similar enough form to reproduce with each other? And if multiple new examples of the same new species what is the process of this emergence outside of creatures that have multiple births per litter. (Please use simple people's terms. Thanks.)

SOrry, I don't remember how long, but it wasn't much higher than 100,000. How are people estimated to be descended from a single female, and what were her parents? Were they a different species or something weird that was almost human but not quite there, or was she born one species, underwent a mutation and became another while an adult?

Please no bizarre defensive "Evolution is my life and if a religious person asks a question he must be attacking the theory which I am oddly defensive of" answers. I'll return the favor if you have a question about Judaism that you always wanted to ask, but were too afraid to. And please people who have some reason to believe they know answer. Thanks.

No contacts, blindness, eye damage or cataracts. My biology teacher in high school had this, and it was months before I realized it. I was curious about how rare this is.
