The "gay gene" is a fairy tale, urban legend/myth made up by the homosexuals to promote their distasteful lifestyle. I say distasteful becuase if you knew what really goes on you'd puke. Anytime someone has to LIE TO YOU to sell you something.....well BEWARE!
If there was a gay gene, all parents would be asking for a gene test, and abortion clinics would be busy. There is no gay gene test, because no such gene exists.
Being gay is a behavioural choice, like stealing, or lying. It is a choice. It may feel good to steal (to some) but eventually that is self destructive and also is destructive to society. Same with being gay. Sexual orientation can change....there are zillions of examples of ex gays turning straight and raising normal families.

There is no specific gay gene. There was no such gene identified and it is very unlikely that something as complex as human sexual orientation is determined by a single gene. This does not mean that there can't be any genetic cause for homosexuality. Variations in several genes might be involved. But the truth is that we know very little about this. There is no definite scientific explanation now for what causes homosexuality. Genetic influence might be involved, hormon levels of the mother during pregnancy might be involved, and other influences before or after birth might also be involved. What we do know is that homosexual orientation is something that naturally occurs and that homosexuals can't simply decide to become heterosexual. This should be enough to respect it and not to make pressure on homosexuals to suppress their sexual orientation.

Our body develop to a certain point without any sex orientation, then the choice is made by the cromosones and male/female organs are developed, leaving the other sex in the embryonic state. That is why males have nipples.
There are some individuals with errors in theyr developement,(male or female organs in the wrong body)but most of homosexual are so by choice.

WHo said anything about genetics?
It is true that one cannot change their sexual orientation, but this is not a genetic thing. There is a theory, though, that additional levels of stress during a pregnancy can cause a hormal change that can affect a small part of the structure of the fetal brain, and that it's that small difference that causes same sex attraction.
Either way, though, it's not something that one chooses.
