How can we detect neutrino, it has little more than 0 mass with no charge. It can pass through anything, doesn't make scintillation.
And what information we can infer from it if we detect it?
I parted with physics long ago and I have forgotten many things and all my current knowledge is corrupted by hundreds of sci-fi movies and discovery channel docs.
Thank you and a happy new year..

Talk about jumping the gun, building habitats on the Moon for people to live in would be better because the technology to build habitats in a hostile alien environment like Mars would need to be tested first, so what do you think, go to Mars first or go to the Moon first?

If the lack of pressure doesn't split everything apart and the cold temperature doesn't freeze the water... could the water and oil mix?

and if they did, could they then freeze together in the cold temperatures? or would that new mixture protect the water parts from freezing thereby producing a gell type of substance?

What sense does the big bang theory make? The universe started off as something as small as an atom. Ok, where did that come from? Where did this atom come from? Where did god come from? I know its a loaded question but, the universe started off as a little atom and blew up. Okay that tells me nothing. Thats like taking a big problem and making it bigger and calling it a theory. How do scientists get away with that? Why can't they just say, "we don't know." ?? Can anyone elaborate non-stupidly on this subject?

He set on the (earth), mountains standing firm, high above it, and bestowed blessings on the earth, and measure therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in four Days, in accordance with (the needs of) those who seek (Sustenance).
Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: "Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly." They said: "We do come (together), in willing obedience."
So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days, and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge. fusslat 41.11 quran

My question that pertains to this topic is couldn't we find a means producing a rocket that generates enough propulsion to do this?

My Thoughts:

Well there are a few factors that we need to take into consideration, but I'll stick to the most simplistic.

The earth rotates at X amount of miles per minute.
So we would need to stop earth's rotation for a brief duration of time.

Easily done however, attach two of these rockets on opposite sides of the globe to counter act the rotation and stop the rotation entirely.

Next we launch a third rocket to physically move the planet X amount of miles.

Than we launch a fourth rocket to regenerate earth's rotation.

Well some may ask how do we attack this rocket to earth....

Couldn't you bury an anchor roughly half way to the center of the earth?

I am puzzled by the concept of the big bang. Let me ask 3 questions.
1. Let's say at 1 million years after the big bang, what was the size of the universe? I presume that it was "smaller." If i were alive then would distance "feel" the same as today? I would assume that a mile back then would be "less" than today but could I PERCEIVE that difference since everything would be "scaled" to a smaller universe??
2 Did the universe occur "everywhere", ie. come into existence, at once? In other words, did the furthest matter form at the same time as the Earth's matter? If so, did it form at its current location or did it migrate there over the eons? I am trying to parse the difference between "true" distance between points in space vs. distance as a result of expansion of matter within the universe as a result of space itself expanding.
3. Is the universe expanding into the 5th dimension since there is no "center" to this expansion and expansion is occurring to everything everywhere?
