That's a tricky question. Do you mean the end of the world, as in the planet's existence, or as in civilization as we know it?

I think you mean the planet's existence because you're asking this question in the astronomy and space category.

The sun is expected to cease to burn in about 5.5 billion years from now. The earth would become lifeless shortly after. So, in approximately 5.5 billion years from now, the world would be substantially different. That would be Century 5,500,002,009 (if we start counting on January 1st).

I hope I was helpful.
Good luck!

So many things could bring about the end of life as we know it. I guess you would have to weight the odds of what would happen first. By guess is we will have a mass extinction event long before the sun burns up. Could be from space or by drastic climate changes. I would have to say anything less than 50 million years would be a very good chance of the end.

Let me see, the sun turns into a Red Giant in about 3 billion years, that are 30 million centuries, we currently are in 21st, so in century 30 000 021st this could really happen. But could be 3 million centuries sooner or later as well.
