When the shot is taken with earth behind the shuttle you can see the earth, but if its just space it's just all black, no stars at all. Seems like there would be a billion points of light.

If they do,when you look up,will it look any different than before.
Are they gonna pollute the moon, like they do on Earth?
Don't they have to get permission from other countries, because no one country owns the moon,or any celestian body,or object?
Pllzzz help!

I've committed some felonies in my past, and I've had some drug and alcohol problems. Also, I just can't come to really believe that some dude named Jesus Christ was actually the son of God. I believe in God, but not Jesus Christ. Can I get into heaven? If not, then where will my soul go?

I'm just wondering. Because you see I want heaven to be kind of like earth. I don't just want to fly around in clouds. That sounds boring. I want to do all sorts of things. Mostly, just cruise around in my Cadillac listening to tunes.

I was with my friend at a park at dusk. We noticed a blue, translucent object that seemed to rise from a house nearby, it was circle-ish, but the shape changed - almost like a jelly fish. It was very blue, but you could sort of see through it. Over maybe ten minutes, it drifted this way and that way, then finally disapeared into the clouds. My astronomy professor was stumped when I asked him about it. Does anyone have any ideas???? It was definitely something unusual.

I know many changes were made to the CSM after Apollo 13, but here's one I am pondering: Did they make a change to the CO2 canisters so they would be interchangeable (after having to scramble to make the CM canisters work in the LM)? Or did they keep it the same and design a ready-made adapter for this purpose maybe??

Example, lets say we're in space. And, instead of going down to earth, we try and go under it.

Where will that take us?

(Thanks for your input).

It looks like it's going to be a clear night tonight and I want to do some astrophotography. Does anyone have some suggestions of some good DSO's seen from the continental USA? My last shots were of M101 and M5, and I was thinking that M31 should be high enough by midnight to photograph. Or I could try to get some shots of the Perseids. Any other sugestions? I'm using a 300mm f/5 telephoto with my Canon Rebel XT to photograph the DSO's.

Last night I was walking out from my friend's cottage on the beach and I was looking up when what appeared to be a shooting star flashed across the sky. The weird thing is it did not travel across the sky, but more like from up to down. It didnt travel very far either, it was a quick flash but it was amazing none the less, I've never seen a shooting star before. I know there was supposed to be a meteor shower this week so I'm wondering if it was part of that or a shooting star. Can anyone help me?
