In terms of believing that there are other life forms out there... and earth is just considered a "grain of sand" in the universe. What if there are other supreme beings out there who actually study us or observe us? I know its crazy, but I got to thinking about it last night and the universe is endless! Think about it!

does anyone know the time period that passes while the Earth and our Sun and Solar System, all travel from the higher plane to the lower plane of the spiral?.... I caught just a tad of the info on a show and they were talking about how it could have something to do with mass extinctions and the disturbance of the Oort Cloud's comets...??

and example, it's you who's chosen to travel. The time machine works by beating the light speed.
What would you see in the future? LOGICALLY, not your imaginary. because logically, the future hasn't formed yet. so if you travel to a place where hasn't formed, what would you see then?
do you get what i mean??
i'm not wishing for dumb answers.. so please answer me seriously...

In 2002 it was all over the news we'd be hit by an asteroid that would destroy the earth in 14yrs time, then it was all hushed up. Was it discredited? Untrue? A mere smudge on the asteroidometer? Or is it still hurtling full force to earth but they'd better not say coz everyone'll go crazy running up credit card debts, stealing, having orgies etc because "THE ENDOF THE WORLD IS NIGH"...in another 11years....???

Does anyone remember or know? I remember clearly coz I was arranging my wedding and wondered if there was any point continuing!

I have heard this concept, but can't even BEGIN to grasp it . . .!! How are time and space connected? How can time be an illusion. . . . it's seems pretty real to me!

With powerful telescopes we zoom past the first galaxies, to a time everything was heavily concentrated in the small existing volume. And we keep on going, but without telescopes. In our minds, we try to piece the puzzle together, We reach likely conclusions, such that the universe now springs from an infinitesimal point. Zero.

But let's say we keep peering back in time. We cross the milli, the micro, the nano. Always getting closer, we approach the pico, the femto, the atto. Much nearer that infinitesimal, sizeless instance we move past the zepto and the yocto.

And we keep going, in this fashion. Always getting closer to "zero"...but, maybe, without ever getting there. As if traversing a logarithmic function - time on the x axis; the order of magnitude of volume, if you will, on the y

Can we conclude this first instant ISN'T undefined, like log(0)? That, while we can keep approaching the instant when the universe was infinitesimal...we can never actually reach such a "zero" point?

Assuming a thought can travel outside of our mind. How fast can it go and would'nt it be more economical than SETI to connect with a higher intelligence outside our solar system?

Such as Mars, we are looking for life on the premise that it must have water to survive. We have seen life - extremophiles - in the most unlikely places on Earth living without the common comforts. I understand that we have yet to find life that survives without water, but why should we limit ourselves, if money and the ability to travel around our universe was not a factor?

Former astronaut Lisa Nowak wants a judge to let her remove the ankle bracelet that allows authorities to track her as she awaits trial on suspicion of attacking a romantic rival, calling it expensive and unnecessary.

Nowak is paying $105 a week - $2,940 so far - for the monitoring device as a condition of her release, according to a court filing her attorney says was made Thursday. A clerk at the Circuit Court in Orange County could not find the filing, but said it could be on its way.

Nowak also argues that the device interferes with her ability to exercise - a requirement for a Navy officer - and her ability to drive, fly on a commercial airplane and monitor her children in the pool.
