Dark matter was invented to explain the fact that the arms of a spiral galaxy stay connected to the galactic center even though the arms a locked in step with the galactic center as it rotates.
If dark matter existed it would permeate the complete milky way including the solar system and earth.
It would be all around us so it would have to be undetectable by,at least, feel and sight.

Dark matter is anything which contributes to the overall mass of the Universe but which cannot be observed. It could range from undiscovered planets through esoteric subatomic particles. So I'm led to believe anyway.
It's unlikely that you could touch any of it, as most of it isn't anywhere near planet Earth.
I'm sure that as soon as some is found, a conservation order will be put on it, and a sign erected saying "Please do not touch the dark matter". (Sorry. It's too early in the morning for me to find my mental first gear).

No one knows what dark matter is, we can only infer its presence by the gravitational effects it has on other objects of mass - like stars and planets.
We cannot see it because it does not reflect light, and we cannot touch it because unlike everything else in the known universe it is not made of atoms.
But it is everywhere - so it is touching you now even though you aren't aware of it.

90% of the universe is dark matter, and you can not touch it, because you have to have a space suit on to get anywhere near it, dark matter is basicaly space, and we can not see it because it does not reflect light, the reason earth is not in darkness is because of oxygen, it reflects light in all directions, as with stars we can see them cause they reflect light, oxygen has physical properties, though we can not actually grab it with our hands, we can feel oxygen, dark matter i think has no pyhsical properties, and it does not reflect light, but at the same time, it does exist

Yes, if you can find it....
It's the matter undetectable in the the Universe that is believed to be there if some of the Physics/Mathematical Equations are true. But we can see it...Maybe it's hiding.
