I have heard this concept, but can't even BEGIN to grasp it . . .!! How are time and space connected? How can time be an illusion. . . . it's seems pretty real to me!

Yup, the only imperfect science known to man. If we really knew anything about time, we would have a calendar that does not contain LEAP Years! We cannot even figure it out better than older civilizations like the Mayans! Time is relative for each individual species and not even the same from one human to the next. Ever heard the term circadian rythym?

"time is an illusion" may mean that time is from another dimension. look, some scientists think that time is the 4th dimension. we are from the 3rd dimension; so for us time may be a illusion if it is true that it is the 4th dimension. it is just like a graph on a paper (which is 2D) can just be an illusion for us: it exists, but not in our dimension. Time being the 4th dimension also explains why we cannot travel in the time right now; to do so, we just need to be from the 4th dimension.
also there is an issue about the space; if it is infinite or just an illusion. Here "space may be an illusion" means that it can have a 3D shape of a really big polygon; so that we take the space as infinite.
but there are many different points of view; and science doesn't know which are the correct ones yet. :)

Time is something we feel as our Body continually changes.
Therefore, its not a illusion its a real quantity.
Space is a structured substance. It has volume where time Being a quantity is not like a physical dimension that descibes a volume. Therefore we can only touch a mass that has volume. But when it come to time we cannot touch it ,but we can feel it. It certainly is not a physical dimension. Relativity theory has Used it as a dimension ,but only as an imaginary dimension.Because in reality its a Quantity.
The Space pressure formed on a mass structure determines how the mass stays together in one piece,and moves.
A good analogy is the fish in the water = without the substance of the water fluid the fish could not exist as a fish.If the fish cannot exist than there is no time for the fish.
So time indicates a space structure gravitational phenomena which tells us how fast the process is taking place in the phenomena.
We cannot exist without the subtance of Space . If we cannot exist then time would not exist either for Humans.
Time is not very well Understood we take it for granted but its there ,and it moves relative to Us.

Time is a dimension that can not be separated from space.
You could eliminate one or two dimension of space but if you tried to eliminate the third dimension,the fourth dimension of time would go out of existence with it.
If time were an illusion you would be an illusion also.

The time most people think of isn't the real time. Most people think of time as a flowing river, but it isn't that. It is a very mathematical thing but I'm not sure in what way. It may have something to do with special relativity and light being a constant but I'm not going to sit here and give you my educated guesses because I wouldn't want to be misleading and I haven't taken a physics class (taking one next year).

Without time, for example, space (or your brain) would be frozen.
you wouldn't be able to think and space could never grow or turn.
think of the "big bang" with out time. It would have never had the "time" to go BANG.
banging takes time ya know?
Time is not an illusion. Somehow we might look at it differently but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

because time is linear..
meaning it has a then,now and later concept..
not a start and finish but you get the idea
but time isn't constant ..
meaning if you was on the earth and your twin
sister got on a spaceship and traveled really fast for , lets say 2 years
you would be older then she would be when she got back to earth..
her time would be 2 years.. but your time would be longer
this is about the simplest way i know of putting it..
