186,000 miles per second, the same as the speed of light, as light recedes from a space the dark takes over as soon as the light is gone.

Dark is not a thing. It is just lack of light. But I suppose if you turn off the last light in the room then the light leaves the room at the speed of light, leaving darkness behind. So you could say the speed of dark is the same as the speed of light I suppose.

It does not have a speed. Darkness is the absense of light. So, for example, a shadow is an area in which light cannot reach because of an obstruction (remember, on a macroscopic level, light acts as waves).
A similar example would be the comparrison between cold and heat. Heat is an increase in kinetic energy of the particles that make up an object. So, cold is just the absense or decline in/of heat.
Just like in the heat/cold analogy, there are degrees of darkness (although we don't call it that, we call it "brightness" just like we call degrees of kinetic particle energy "temperature").
So, in conclusion, darkness does not have a speed.

That was cute the first 1,437 times. Now it seems like you are too clever, and we've heard it before.
And the answer is the same as always. Darkness is not a substance or force. Darkness is the ABSENCE of light. As such it does not move, and therefore does not have a characteristic speed.
There. Do you feel the satisfaction of having pulled our legs?

Well dark is an abscence and abscence can move faster than the speed of light. If you took away all light there would be dark because it is an abscence it can NOT be accuratly measured because it techinicallz does not exist unless you are using dark matter...

Interesting question. Darkness only means the absence of light. There is "nothing" to measure.
