What's a good telescope for observing planets and comets , I'm not eniterly intrested in observing Galaxys,Stars or Constellations.I just want a good telescope that can bring up fairly detailed images of Planets and Comets,I undertsand that I'm not always going to get detailed images because of Atmospheric winds and a number of other things, but I want to be assured that on a Clear night with no disturbances I'll get a fairly detailed image of what ever planet I'm viewing.

It seems to me that the "BBT" is quite accepted by physicists as the origin of the universe. It seems to me that the scale of such an event has made scientists assume that the entire Universe began from that. Which is easy, considering we are talking about an infinite field of existence with countless galaxy clusters that are known to collide, each cluster containing hundreds of galaxies, that in turn, contain Billions of stars... That scale combined with the effect of super black holes who's mass is beyond imagination.. It just seems to me that we, as humans, try to understand things in a finite way- big and small, begining and end, etc. But we live in an infinite universe where such classifications completely lose meaning. Regardless of galaxy expansion or contraction, for as far as we can detect, doesn't it seem more likely to some scientists that an infinite universe never had a beginning?

Would it be possible to detect whether local galaxy clusters are rotating on the short timescale we've been looking? Why is rotation so common (the norm?)

I have heard numerous stories about black holes and that they contain "worlds" inside them or that they can be used for space travel from one point in the universe to the next point. Seriously though, what is up with black holes? What is the story?

What i mean is, when we use red shift to backup the theory that the universe is expanding, therefore stars moving away from us, does this red shift also show some stars that are moving a similar speed to us ie not much or no red shift, or are all stars moving away from one another. Are some stars behind us catching up to us? and some in front moving further away? Or are we catching up to ones in front, or speeding away from ones behind? Does red shift show this information?

"scientists have proven that human minds are linked with each other through nueron activities.

so if you are thinking of someone all day long without any reason at all, he/she is thinking of you too.

very very very very very very fast velocitys (mabe not light speed but in that range) so we dont have to alwys be puttin around our little lifeless boring solar system.

if theres aliens life out in space observing us, they probly roll their eyes around and throw there green hands in the air when they hear earth peopl complain that space research is such a waste of time because theres nothing to see out in space.

We need to go REALLY FAST if we want to really explore dont you think?

Aug. 27th the Whole World is waiting for......... ....

Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August.

It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will
culminate on Aug. 27th when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth.

Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am (Singapore Time).

It will look like the earth has 2 Moons.

The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it again.

(I received this from a friend in an email....)

I'm using a 600x Newtonian Reflector made by Edu Science that I had for Christmas,so far I've just about seen the Moon and I want to see Planets now,so I decided to observe Jupiter starting at a Magnification of F=20mm and Jupiter appeard as a small ball of white light, giving of the odd red glowing every ten seconds. So then I switched Magnification to a F= 12.5mm and it still appeared as a ball of light so again I put in a more pwerful lens coming up to F=9mm and still it appeared as a ball of light, and then I stuck in a F= 4mm and still it was a ball of LIGHT! with no detail of any could patterns. So then I went extreme and then stuck in a 3.36X Barlow Lens combned with a 4mm and then I could'nt see anything. Is my scope powerful enough to see Jupiter?
