It doesn't end, there are a lot of theories about what actually happens to it. One is that the universe is still expanding. so it keeps pushing and pushing and making the universe larger.

Think of space as the surface of the Earth. It is not infinite yet it has no beginning or end.

Why are we comparing 3-D space to 2-D surface of Earth? Well, we actually live in a 4-D universe according to relativity (3-D of space plus 1-D of time). We are incapable of imagining what a 4-D object looks like. So the best we can do is to make analogies between 3-D space in 4-D universe with 2-D surface in 3-D space.

As I see it, your question is a statement of your inability to cope with the vastness of space and the Universe based upon your Earthbound Experiences and Education Level.
On Earth it is easy to locate the beginning and end of almost everything. So this becomes a learned experience in your mind. When someone suggests that some things do not fit that rule, your learned experiences automatically trigger feelings of doubt. It is a natural experience.

At present, scientists and astronomers who use the most sophisticated optical and radio telescope equipment available report that they can see objects out in space at distances up to 40 Billion Light Years away in all directions from Earth.

Now, I am not sure what you call infinite, or if you can visualize the concept of "infinite distance", but for me,
distances like 40 Billion Light Years are so tremendously vast that they might as well be infinite for my purposes.
In time, maybe new technologies and developments will
extend our viewing capability out to maybe 60 or 70 Billion Light Years, and that will be exciting. But, even then, that distance is so vast that I will accept it as pretty close to infinity.

Your question supposes that someone here might have a specific answer for the exact size and dimensions of Space. I don't think you will find any supported replies like that in Yahoo from qualified researchers.

Space is the absence of matter! If there is no matter then you have space (vacuum). There is no "wall" far far away that has a sign "space ends here." Space goes on for infinity just like the positive and negative number lines we all studied in math class! I mean if you say "the largest number is One novemdecillion (10^60)" than someone can say what about "One Novemdecillion and One?"

When they talk about the size and age of the universe they are in fact talking about the "visible universe." The universe probably goes beyond what we currently observe with our instruments.

The creation of the Universe consisted of the Creation of the substance of space and the the structure of mass. Combining the two structures is what makes up the Universe. The substance of space being the larger volume.
When one talks about the limits of the Universe it means that the Universe has constrains ,otherwise it would not function as it does.
The Universe has its limits . The domain which is out side the Universe is that domain which is called Heaven.
Science =Big Bang theory,String theory etc.. Have not been able to observe What Constitutes Heaven which belongs to Our Creator.
Therefore any allusion beside Biblical revelation is only Purely Speculative.

We can see up to 14 billion light years from Earth. A light year is about 6 trillion miles. Even if it can't go on forever, well it goes on far beyond what we can comprehend.
