whats the size of our galaxy and whats the location of the sun in it?? (give short answers only.. really short.. just to the point!)

Our Milky Way Galaxy is a disk shaped configuration of stars 1500 Light Years wide and 1.5 Light Years thick. Within the disk are a number of spiral arms, and our Sun is located about 1/3 the way out from the center on one of those arms.

we are on the orion arm of the milky way galaxy. the sun is about 35,000 light years from the center of the galaxy. the milky way is about 100 - 130,000 light years across. and our galaxy is a small one.
