Moon landing hoax videos. Radiation belt, Van Allen belt, space debris, Haarp blasting the ionosphere with Tesla's death ray: outer space is not a good environment in which to travel. Not humanly possible at this point of our understanding of how the universe operates. Just being exposed to the radiation would cause cancer, defects or death.

Two times in my life (Second time it was around 1990) while being at Caspian sea Iranian beaches, I have seen what I described above that appeared at night, people were all gathered and no one had a clue what it was. Some one saying it was a atomic practice by former Soviet!!
Still after 15 years I don't know what it was. It was small at the begining, then it grew more and more until it was so big it had covered almost the whoe horizon. I doubt any one can help but it worth asking anyways.

We were sitting outside tonight looking at the stars and my son asked me why we call the stars 'stars' when they are actually suns in other solar systems. I know a few are planets in our solar system, like Mars and Venus. But I can't explain to him how scientists got the name/word 'star' for all those suns out there.

Can anyone give me some insight to this? Do you know a good website that I can have my son go to to learn about the universe at a child's level? Thank you!

I know that this is a weird question. But I need to find it somehow. I never know about space science but I think tragedy space shuttle challenger and columbia is too coincident, like seven astronout, fire shape like scorpio, etc.
Lately i am interesting in the mars exploration. Is it really true there are nine planet circle the sun? Is star exploration possible in the future or just fiction cause there is no space at all? I really confious about what is real and fiction? Also history about world war is ever happend or not?

what exactly would happen to life on earth if a gamma ray struck the earth from 1,500 light years away?

would the molecules of living organisms be torn apart? if yes, how would that occur? why would it occur?

would molecules that make up breathable air and water also break apart? if that happened, what would happen to the earth as we know it?

okay, so the gamma ray burst would suddenly hit only one side of the planet. what happens then to the living things and elements of the earth on its other side?

why have i heard that a gamma ray burst is the most dangerous natural disaster that could adversely affect life on this planet?

what happens to the entire solar system? would a gamma ray, once it hit our planet, then "disburse" its forces outside of our atmosphere? if yes, to where and to what extent?
