im just looking for a simple refracting telescope but am wondering what the best kind is for under $100????

Is space filled with matter? Or antimatter? Is it really absolute nothingness (aside from where planets and stars are etc.)?

I just want something that is capable of seeing the other planets. Jupiter and Saturn are the two plants that I mainly want to see.

How much am I looking at for a telescope that is capable of this?

Every night I look up at the sky to do some star gazing. Only recently have I take a huge interest in astronomy. Every night as soon as the sun sets I see a star to my right in the sky. An hour later I see another star in the sky, almost completely opposite of the first star and it's too my left this time.

What are these stars? They're brighter than the rest once the rest do actually come out. I think I read somewhere that the first star to emerge at night is Venus, is this true?

i saw on tv that pretty soon there will be some sort of sun spots that are going to do something... i can't really remember. can someone tell me what this is? do sun spots cause something bad to happen?

On this date the Sun moves within the center of the milky way and for the first time in 25800 years the earth will be in alignment with the sun as it's centered in the milky way.

I find this topic interesting. Clearly the center of the milk way is powerful. Could there actually be a pole shift if this was to happen? Anything is possible at this point in time, but I'd like to see some opinions on this. Personally, I'm going to be starring at the sky for most of that day.

Out of the 9 planets in our solar system, earth is the only planet that sustains plants, animals and humans amongst other things. To what purpose and function do these other 8 planets pose? I don't get it? ( o _ 0 )

So we see faint objects billions of light years away. Maybe what happened is that us and nearby galaxies such as andromeda are in orbit around a massive gravitational source, light from andromeda goes into orbit around this source as well, then billions of years later we reach it by chance (our paths cross) and see what appears to be a galaxy billions of light years away. But it is actually just a very old image of andromeda.
And so on with all the other distant galaxies - they are just old orbital images.

i have broke up with my ex bf a month ago. when i first broke it off with him, i wrote a letter to him of how i really feel.that the time that i broke it off. but every single day and every hour he keep texting me. and the funny part about, he even text me while hes working. and i told him i cant be texting him while hes at his job. he calls me everday. if i dont answer his txt msg. he txt saying talk.or wake up, like i should keep up with his calls or txts, he even do that at his job. i tell him what he be doing , but he does the samething. he even gets mad at me bc i wont chilli with him on the weekend, ever weekend he get pissed out bc i always put him down. but he wont asks his friends out, he still have feelings for me. but my feelings for him is gone. i just get so tried of him. with your help and nice answer , will you tell me what i should do. how to get rid of all that. and let him see that i have my own life now. and have him move on.

Somebody told me once that "we are the product of the evolution of the dinosaurs". Added that even if we suppose that they got extinct, they really didn't extincted at all, and that had evolved into all the diversity of living beings that actually exist, including humans. Is that right? He used that argumentation because I asked him why the dinosaurs´s level of intelligence didn't evolve?
