Do you think, that as the Sun ages, gets hotter and expands as we all know it will do, do you think that the amount of excess heat generated by that will melt the much, if not all the polar icecaps as well as the frozen ice below Mars's surface for Mars for a time at least, to become very Earth-like?

don't post jokes or anything because I'm serious:

When I was little I was abducted by aliens (and I think I have been a few times and can't recall them all) I want to be abducted again so I can talk to them. I was little the first time and too scared to talk...but now I'm mature and old enough and have no fears.
any ideas? Don't give me stupid ones (even tho I'm getting myself in to it with the question)

If you had a pole that was planted in the ground on earth and it extended all the way into space, and then you climbed to the top of it. Could you feel yourself rotating with the earth as it spun, or even be able to tell it was spinning at all?

What if our perception of reality and time is really only our own interpretation at our scale and we are really but a small short lived atom in someone else's Universe and reality and that we may one day just pop and not exist anymore.

I mean how do we know, we can't see beyond the boundaries of our own Universe? What is huge and unexplainable to us might be infinitely tiny and unnoticed in a parallel World or Universe.

Does quantum theory ever deal with this issue?

I find it fascinating and exciting to think of the possibilities!

I mean... the way electrons revolve...
the whole breakdown of chemistry
is a lot like the solar system

it's like everything behaves the same way
the macrocosm & the microcosm....
do you think that the infinite operates by the same rules as the finite? ....could we be just a tiny atom in someone elses universe? could atoms be tiny universe's within ours? revolving and rotating by the same laws of magnetism, gravity and attraction......

???

When this "Big Rip" actually occurs, will it be the end of our Universe or the beginning of a new one or several?

If everything reaches a point through expansion where all matter is not influenced by any further mutual gravity from other matter - then effectively what is left just continues to drift forever or will it stop expanding and eventually collapse back in on itself creating a new Universe?

In essence repeating this over and over - never ending

You can see it when you look out in space. So it is there

But what happens to dark matter when light is introduced, does it stop existing and disappear into the glare of the light or is it still there?

Does it expand to the edge of our Universe and stop or is it the matter of all levels of all Universe (if there are multiverse) and materials

Does dark matter carry the force of the Universal expansion from the original big bang or is it merely a mechanism of distance without light that grows upon further expansion?

It’s all very confusing

Ok, guys I am looking for a good place to buy an 8" Parabolic with a f/8 focal length, any ideas? I would even suffice with a 6" as long as it had a f/8 focal length. I am wanting to build a long tube telescope and need locations for parts.

Five Billions of years ago, long before the Earth had any form at all, there were trillions of 'dirty little snowballs' and bigger and bigger ones colliding together. This all took place when our Sun was still a hungry accreting 'brown drawf sized star' in the center of the planetary nebula, where it competed with might Jupiter for MASS! Now the Solar System was way back then, mostly filled with what are today called Kuiper Belt objects, and Oort Cloud objects. "And the Earth was without FORM and VOID' and darkness was on the FACE of the DEEP(abyss)" Genesis 1:1,2 Was darkness on the face of the planetary nebula, filled with comet -like bodies floating in the super cold of the planetary nebula??? Which would eventually become our Solar System, and the area where the Earth would eventually take shape into a planet??? But why use snow covered rocks and rocks containing mostly water ice???

Every nite around the same time of nite there is a light that is the brightest light in the sky. Could it be the star of Bethlehem or a Satellite. It moves and sometimes can be seen during daylight hours. What is it?

They're saying that, because of the computer glitches, they can't adjust the Station's position. But, if so, then the Station will either fall down on Earth, or just drift out in space, right?

They're talking about evacuating the crew, but not about what's going to happen with the Station. But, obviously, something will happen to the Station - that is why they are talking about evacuating the crew.

I realize this is not imminent, and may be avoided; but I am just intrigued about why they're not saying anything about what will actually happen with the Station.
