What does "die forever" actually mean - do you mean could it end one day and never start up again?
It could - the theory that the universe continues to expand until it reaches maximum entropy (called "heat death") when there is no energy available to do work (like stellar fusion or life).
Another theory is that universe is cyclical, meaning it will expand, then contract back to a singularity, then start expanding again.
A part of superstring theory suggests our universe is just one in a multiverse, and that while ours may end one day the multiverse we are part of continues (sort of like a person may die but humanity lives on).

since the universe isnt a living thing (that we know of) I would have to say no.

But to take your question a little more seriously, if you mean die as in eventually everything being separated by unimaginable distances due to lack of critical mass to stop dark energy then my guess is yes. I guess that will eventually be a type of death since in the far future there will be no more gas for stars to form from and the last ones will die out. Even the black holes will eventually evaporate away. Gloomy isnt it?

lol considering humans have historicly never had a correct model of the universe who says we have one now? My prediction is based only on what we know and what most in the scientific community believe.

Yes, it could. If the Hubble Constant is small enough the Universe could simply continue to expand forever until there is insufficient energy density to maintain a temperature of more than a few tenths of a Kelvin. But that'd be billions of years into the future.

I love this Question. :] <333333
I think it won't. The current theory is that the universe goes through cycles.
1. Big Bang
2. Universe expands
3. Universe becomes too big
4. Universe shrinks
5. Universe = Big Bang all over again.
And it will keep on going like that forever.

The universe is a finite entity,is has a beginning and it has an end.
The universe is an incident that happens once,it will run it's course,go out of existence and never happen again.

According to some theoreticians it could. However,
the space-time fabric may have a limit to its stretchability and when thjis point is reached will cause a Big Collapse to be followed by another Big Bang...which leads to another Big Collapse...ad infinitum.

No. Think about it: where would the remnants reside?
