I want to know if anyone lives where they can see the northern lights. I wish for someone to send me (via email) footage of the northern lights. If this is not possible can you give me a place to find some amazing footage of the lights.

You probably live where they can be seen yourself. During massive events on the sun the northern light have been seen as far south as Arizona and California. Such events aren´t quite as common and the farther north you live the easier they are to see. I certainly live far north but at the moment the sky is so bright, even at midnight, I can hardly see any stars let alone northern lights. But I have seen some amazing displays. Never had a camera with me though...
Take a look at spaceweather for updates on when there might be northern lights in the works. They even have a (pay) service where they call you when ever the aurora is visible in your area...

I live at 45 degrees north latitude, the northern lights are spectacular on some occasions but filming them would only be only possible with very expensive equipment. Watch for NOVA programs on TV you may get lucky.
