One of my co-workers heard on the local news last night that 8 planetary bodies were in alignment last night, the Earth, our moon, the sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. They also said that this alignment is very rare and won't happan again for over 400 years. I normally don't have any problem finding more information on things she or anyone else hears about, but I only find one place online that this event is mentioned, which was on another news stations' website (not local): http://www.wrcbtv.com/news/index.cfm?sid=8455
Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, or maybe it was a hoax, but you'd think that there would have been a bigger deal made of this if it were true. I couldn't even find anything on NASA.gov or Space.com about it, although they mention several times in the last 10 years when 6 bodies were in line, but that's less rare. Would love any information proving or disproving the supposed alignment last night. Thanks!!!

Have we taken any pictures of the flag on the moon with like the hubble telescope or anything since landing there? If not, can anyone explain why we haven't since we easily have the technology. Especially, since we can take pictures of things thousands of light years away. Why not the landing site of our own moon to prove to everyone we did?

I saw a documentry about wormholes in terms of altering space &time to travel the universe instantaneously, and ultimately back in time if desired. Apparently to create a wormhole you would need to harness the energy released by an exploding supernova and somehow concentrate it onto a specific area in space in the hope of creating a hole in space time!!??!
- is this theory accredited or not?

Any ideas?+ other info would be great...

Asteroid 1997 XF11 will pass well beyond the Moon's distance from Earth in October 2028
Worrisome to asteroid watchers is the exceptionally close flyby of Earth by Apophis on April 13, 2029. So close in fact, the space rock will be naked-eye visible as it darts by. And what can't be ruled out at this time is that Apophis may pass through a gravitational "keyhole" - a spot that alters the asteroid's trajectory as it zips by our planet and might put it on the bee-line lane for banging into Earth seven years later.

Is an asteroid really coming to hit the Earth and cause an ‘extinction level event’, similar to that which wiped out the dinosaurs? Scientists say it just might happen, with an Asteroid called Apophis having a 1 in 45,000 chance of impact.

The end of the calendar period is said to be dec.21 2012.
It is the end of this "last" cycle dating from 3113bc till 2012ad. Is this a solid fact or just another religious end of the worl scare? Does this have anything to do with the 13 crystal skulls?

what i really want to know is, as the big bang very clearly exceeded the speed of light (as least to start with) and that gravitational waves propagate at the speed of light, does that mean that at some point in the past the wave front (from the big bang) bounced from the edge of spacetime and was reflected back to the point where the big bang happened?
or am i just being too 3 dimensional??

i beileve in alien abduction as i beileve im an abductee. since i was 15 i have seen 9 ufo's. i have foundsome wierd metallic thing in my body, my nise, behind my ear, both wrists and above my belly button. now the doctors say the metal is unidentifable and dont no how they got there, i have gone missing a few times but no1 knows why and sometimes dont even notice i have gone. i have weird feelings that im going to be taken again any day soon. i have had weird flashbacks of times i go missing and i see the grey aliens and sometimes some reptilians. there have been men there i think there doctors helping the aliens with the tests and experiments. im so scared as i dont really understand y this is happening to me or how to stop it, has anyone been through similar experiances and can some1 help me understand wots happening to me.

Okay I've recently been having this crazy dream about the sun coming to the earth not like it has arms and legs kind of thing but creepy like it was comming out of the sky and getting closer to the earth. I've had this dream at least 3 or 4 times so I know it's not just me tweeking out. Any way the sun was like gigantic. And all I knew was that it was like the end of existance but the strange thing was is I was in a skyrise building in an all white room I don't know if it was the rays from the sun making the room bright or if the room was just white. I know whoever reads this can tell that it's really freaking me out by all the rambling but I just need to know if anyone can help me understand whats going on or if anyone can relate. thx

what is antimatter ?

i recently watched a pragram on discovery which said tht is is the most dangerous thing known 2 humanity ever. it said that just a pinhead of antimatter was enough 2 blow up the new york city.
and bout a kg of it would be enough 2 blow up the entire earth!

is this true, if it is then wht r the possibilities of man acquiring it by the eng of the century and blowing himself up?

i have this theory, that in some other solar system far away, instead of being aliens on planets, i think that there is just a whole other planet like earth with people exactly like us wondering the same thing if there is other life forms. anyone agree
