to the question of "How many stars are in the universe." The answer that people give (an average of 100billion stars x 100billion galaxies) differs from
that which I found in the paper written by Dr. Gerald B. Cleaver of Baylor
University, published at
http://www.metanexus.net/conferences/pdf/conference2006/Cleaver.pdf

Dr. Cleaver posits that there are a trillion galaxies, with the average
galaxy containing a trillion stars.

Both of those answers were given in the year 2006. My question is whether
there is unanimity among physicists as to this matter.

Meaning, that our earth is bright because of the sun, but when you get outside our atmosphere, it's dark. Wouldn't space around earth still be bright because of the sun? wouldn't the sun keep space in our solar system bright?

Here are the original images I posted before:
http://www.coasttocoastam.com/gen/page20...

Here are the new images from today by another witness:
http://www.earthfiles.com/news.php?id=12...

It is reportedly in California. I posted the first set of images about two weeks ago. I had all kinds of responses from many saying it was either photo shopped or CGI. A new set of images of this craft have been posted which takes away the CGI/Photoshop theory. My question now is what is it. Even if it was created here on Earth for the purpose of surveying or study, it has advanced technology. It can hover silently and then zip off at high rates of speed. There is no apparent engine and no where for a being to sit, which adds to the strangeness of this thing.

There is writing under the craft that I do not recognize. This thing could be either terrestrial or extra-terrestrial. I am going with terrestrial - with help from foreign agencies(India).

Forest Study?

What is it?

Astronomers have just found an exoplanet similar to earth just 20 light years away. Since our world population is still increasing at a rate that may one day dwindle our resources, should we think of going to one of these exoplanets in the next few decades? Possibly even colonizing them by the end of 21st century for our species future?

I have this one programming assignment in my intro2cs class and im programming a weight on planets converter in c++ and im getting a little mixed up with the weight and mass stuff. I had to do this in my physical science class a while ago cept i dont remember. im just wondering what would the formulas be for the following planets. (The variable being kilograms because I have trouble with newtons)
Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
Jupiter
Saturn
Neptune
Pluto

I was kinda confused cuz I had remembered in science class we divided the gravity on earth by 9.8 but in other websites it
says that we should just multiply by 1. Im reeeely confused and if i could just get the basic formulas ill be happy.

Thanks

the mayans have fortold the end of civilization in 2012 when our planet lines with the milky way they have never been wrong in their predictions yet including naming the exact hour of their invasion and demise, scientists know this is going to happen and the effects on life itself why isn't there more information available?

Does this suggest that perhaps the sun has already been in its Red Giant stage?

And the alternating cyclical changes of both Mars and Earth, do these changes reflect the stages of the Sun's life?

Perhaps the dinosaurs died off due to the Red Giant?

Assuming of course, that the Sun even goes thru the same stages as seen in others stars. KNowing in hand that just because these may have been witnessed with other stars, doesn't absolutely mean that our own star will assume these changes.
