-Also, my hands and feet are cold...is that normal?

Please no rude answers, this is completely serious.

My little brother in law got a telescope (reflector 50x100) and everything looks further. There isn't A LOT of light polution outside. Just a little. I can't see anything! If I do, it's like this tiny tiny dot.

There is a series of numbers denoted by a1, a2, a3, ... aX (Not in Arithmetic Progression!). Here's what we have:

a1 = 1
and
a(M + N) = aM + aN + MN

Using the two given data, find the 2001st term.

In case you have trouble understanding:
a1 is the first term, a2 is the second term and so on. aX is the xth term.
a(M + N) denotes the (M + N)th term of the series.

And remember that this is NOT an Arithmetic Progression!

I want to do some science experiments, but I can't do it without some types of metal.

I want to know what the general cost of scrap copper, aluminum, and steel are per ounce. It would also help if you give me some safety tips when I handle the metal. Do I need a special type of soap to wash my hands after touching it? Should I wear rubber gloves and a mask?

Thank you for your time. Best answer will get ten points! Oh, and happy upcoming New Year everyone.

lim_{n→c} f( g(n) ) = lim_{ u→[ lim_{n→c} g(n) ] } f(u)

The limit of the compound function f(g(n)), as n approaches c... is set equal to... the limit of the outer function f(u), as u approaches a value equal to the limit of the inner function g(n), as n approaches c.

To me, this makes sense logically. But I dont have a formal proof. And Im not certain on any stipulations.

ok i did my SFP on bio rusting i took 4 jars with distilled water and put two rust nails in each. all the nails are sanded for no protection from bacteria and i put antibacterial soap in four of those jars. I took another 4 jars and put a large amount of dirt into them with also two nails in each. I also had another jar that was the control. only filled with distilled water and just two nails (all the nails are sanded*) the results were the control nails had rusted the most. the ones in the dirt less and the antibacterial ones like more than the bacterial ones .. these results confuse me do you think there is some type of error in this procedure or should i have another trial and test with something other than dirt, and something other than antibacterial soap..?

I've heard that when insects tend to gather in a particular spot or near a person for no apparent reason that it has something to do with paranormal activity.

OK, here's one for all of you who believe in UFO's, Big Foot, the Loch Ness Monster, etc.

Since the year 2000, over 800,000,000 (that's eight-hundred-million!) digital cameras and camera phones have been sold.

As I see it, that means that in virtually every place in the country, at every minute of the day and night, there is someone with a camera...so where are all the photos of UFO's? Back in the 1950's and 1960's, when no one walked around with a camera, there were plenty of "UFO's" captured on film.

And since the UFO's people see at night are always lighted I have to wonder; why would an alien culture so advanced they have been able to develop interstellar spacecraft allow them to be flown by pilots who are so stupid they always forget to turn off their lights when visiting earth. Come to think of it, wouldn't you think aliens that advanced wouldn't need to put lights on their spacecraft since the only purpose of lights is make sure other flying things don't bump into you?

Ammonium hydrogen sulfide is a crystalline solid that decomposes as follows:
NH4HS (s) --> NH3 (g) + H2S (g)

Some solid NH4HS is placed in an evacuated vessel at 25 degrees C. After equilibrium is attained, the total pressure insde the vessel is found to be 0.659 atmosphere. Some solid NH4HS remains in the vessel at equilibrium. For this decomposition, write the expression for Kp and calculate its numerical value at 25 degrees C.
