Where is the best university to get physics degree??

For the US try Harvard, Princeton, Stanford for first picks. The usual suspects.

But it really depends. Princeton will be overkill unless you are going to become a world class theorist who can and will work for the best. If your math skills are only average genius you will have trouble getting the professors attention.

If you are a good experimentalist, you want to look for a university which caters to your interests. Solid state physics can be done everywhere and is done almost everywhere.

But astronomy, high energy physics, nuclear physics etc. need special facilities AND access to those facilities. If you want to have any chance in those fields, you need to strategically select your university to have such a research program, the facilities AND the right teacher to get you access to said facilities.

If all you want is to become a science teacher, everywhere will be fine.

Depends on where you are, your strengths and weaknesses, your financial resources etc. You can be a good physicist without going to the best university.

it only depends on you
even you are at average university but you can become top physicist
the only thing is to think and to read
and you have to have some basic skills in your brain to be the top physicist

remember the stories of legendary physicists
