(r-5s+4) + (8r+4s) +(s+7)

Second one is:

(x to the fourth - 12x to the second +35) Divided by (x to the second - 7)

i got this for an answer -2a^2 + a + 3

but the book says im wrong and the (-2a^2) has to be a positive.... why is that ?

when we look up into space, we are looking into the past about 3,000 years ago, the reason we are looking that far is because even thought light travels 186,287 miles per second we are so far aaway that it takes 3,000 years to get here, wow. so remember when you look at space you are looking 3,000 years into the past so how do we know that some of those stars and planets are still there?
