Looking at the moon tonight, we always see the same side. Does the sun ever shine on the other side that we do not see?

We always see the same side, because the moon rotates in the same amount of time it takes to orbit the Earth.

But if you were on the other side of the moon, you would get the same amount of daylight and night there as you would if you were on the side of the moon facing the Earth.
You just would never see the Earth in the sky on that side of the moon.
We see the moon due to reflected sunlight. When the moon is between us and the sun, the sunlit side is facing away from us (but its still facing the sun).

Yes. As the Moon rotates around the Earth all sides get lit (small exceptions: deep craters at the poles have spots that never get sun). The side away from the sun is dark, towards it is light.

During a full moon the side towards the Earth is completely lit, far side is completely dark; during a new moon the side facing the Earth is completely dark & the far side is completely lit.

You obviously do not know what makes phases of the moon, which is really really sad in this day and age.

If the sun did not shine on the other side of the moon, we would see a FULL moon all the time. Jeez, isn't that obvious.

do you not realize that when you see a half moon, the sun is shining half on our side of the moon and half on the other.

And at new moon, when we can't see the moon at all, the sun is shining fully on the other side.

Seriously, I would take my answer here to one of your teachers and ask him/her why your school's education system is about 500 years behind the times.

Yes it does. The moon rotates once per month, and during that month, all sides of it get some sunshine.

NO! That's why it's called the "dark side".
