So I figure for 3 out of 5, you do 3/5 = .60, and then take that and do .60/.085, which would give you 70%. But how do I find the probabilty of being accurate extactly 4 tines in the next days? Thanks...

it would just seem logical to make the brighter it is, the higher the magnitude. (meaning a higher number) Linguistically, it might be said that a higher magnitude has a lower number, i don't know. but why make it confusing?

I am really new to this stuff! I see that the general form is (hkl). What I don't comprehend is how this relates to this:
A1-0=a=a/h
B2-0=2b=b/k
C2-0=2c=c/l

( note the 1 & 2's next to A,B &C are subscripts)

How does B2 suddenly become 2b and C2 suddenly become 2c?
What does the 0 mean? And what is the purpose of the minus sign?

Hello, I am of a very scientific mind;

Has there ever been any speculated means of harvesting raw solar energy from the sun (in the form of whatever rays make it to the earth or to orbitally positioned solar cells), and taking this solar energy and continuously cycling / refining / converting it molecularly to produce solar fuel, without adding anything else that does not come directly from a sun? Is this possible? My ideas are for purely for a science fiction novel I am going to write, and I am in need of a realistic way of propelling "starships" from one solar system to another; I figured harvesting solar energy from various suns could be a good idea, if it's possible to convert solar energy entirely into solar fuel to propel a starship unit. I need a realistic way (holding some scientific bearing) in which solar energy is collected by itself, without adding anything else to it, and reconfiguring the molecules to have efficient solar fuel.

Thanks for any useful contributions.

A fishing line of length 4 m is wrapped around the axle of a wheel. The axle's diameter is 4 cm. One end of the line is attached to a mass of 6 kg. When the mass is released, gravity pulls on it and this causes the axle to rotate. When the line has been completely unwound from the axle, the wheel is rotating at an angular speed of 3 rev/sec. Calculate the moment of inertia of the wheel and axle.

My answer comes out to 1.322 kg m^2/rad^2.

Am I correct? Thanks.
