I am really new to this stuff! I see that the general form is (hkl). What I don't comprehend is how this relates to this:
A1-0=a=a/h
B2-0=2b=b/k
C2-0=2c=c/l

( note the 1 & 2's next to A,B &C are subscripts)

How does B2 suddenly become 2b and C2 suddenly become 2c?
What does the 0 mean? And what is the purpose of the minus sign?

I always struggled with Miller Indices in mineralogy. I found this site with a Google search that takes a simple straightforward approach one face at a time.
