In the West Pacific they're called Typhoons and Super Typhoons and in the Indian Ocean, they're called tropical cyclones.

Good question and here is the correct answer to both. In the Western North Pacific they are typhoons and in the Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal they are cyclones.

In the northwestern Pacific Ocean, they are called typhoons. In the southwestern Pacific Ocean and the southwestern Indian Ocean, they are called tropical cyclones. In the northern Indian Ocean, they are called severe cyclonic storms.
